London South East Colleges – Hospitality, Food and Enterprise Career College
In August 2016, Bromley College merged with Greenwich Community College and Bexley College to create London South East Colleges.
The Hospitality, Food and Enterprise Career College opened in September 2014 to help address the skills gap facing hospitality employers and to give young people the opportunity to enter this expanding industry.
The exciting venture is backed by a high profile team of industry advisors, including representatives from the Hilton, Hyatt, the Dorchester Group and Springboard UK.
The centrepiece of this Career College is its award-winning student-led BR6 Restaurant and Bakehouse, situated in Orpington town centre. Students gain hands-on experience of preparing and serving food here, as well as learning how a commercial venture is run.
The Career College focuses on employability and entrepreneurial skills, together with a strong academic foundation in core subjects. Last year every Career College student progressed onto higher level courses, an apprenticeship or gained employment.
